Egypt – 2003

   Took a cruise on the Nile and visited Philae Temple. Dedicated to the goddess Isis, Philae hosted a
   spectacular sound and light show.

   Overnight train from Cairo to Aswan.

   Visited Luxor, the Valley of the Kings, and Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple.

   Saw the tomb of Tutankamen.

Eurupe – 2003 / 1998

   Took a train tour on EuroStar across Europe. Stops included Milan, Venice, Rome, Geneva, Paris,
   Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, and London.

   Visit to Interlaken, Switzerland was unforgettable. The scenery is spectacular and very romantic.

   Old Lisbon was a favorite stop. Cobbled streets, old buildings, and gardens.

   Venice was exciting. Lots of history and culture.

Indonesia – 1998

   Visited Jakarta, the capital and Bali.

   Shopping in Jakarta is a cheaper alternative to Singapore or Kuala Lumpur.

   Bali is mesmerizing. Lots of culture to experience – Hinduism, dance, costumes, and woodwork.

   Bali also has a couple of good beaches and is very laid back.

   Visit to Kintamani, a volcanic mountain in Bali, was unforgettable.

Malaysia – many times

   I like Kuala Lumpur, the capital. Great for shopping and is a cultural mix of food, art, and
   entertainment.

   Visited Penang and Malacca, formerly colonial strongholds.

Canada – 2007

   Visited Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City.

   Quebec City is a place that retains the feel of old Europe.

   Experienced a snow storm in Montreal!

United Kingdom – 2009 / 2003 / 1998

   London is a great city. A cultural mix of people, food, art, and music.

   Visits to Bath, Stratford, and Windsor were memorable.

United States – 2005 to 2009 / 2003 / 2000

   The Big Apple is my all time favorite city. Nothing like it!

   Hawaii – visit to Big Island, Kilaueua volcano was unforgettable

   Boston, San Francisco, and Indianapolis are other favorite cities.
